pretty in PANTIES

She did it! About two weeks ago Wiley transitioned to panties. We had been working on potty training here and there for a few months. She was very motivated and loved wearing panties and sitting on the potty but was very unreliable in how long she could wait between bathroom trips. Sometimes we would have the timer set at 15 minutes and she would have an accident at minute 14. I think these occasional stints wearing panties trained her to actually feel when she needed to go potty. I don't think she was used to holding it at all. And then, one long weekend, we kept her in underwear the whole time with the timer set for 30 minutes between trips and she figured it out. She has had remarkably few accidents since. And she does not need to be reminded to use the restroom, she just goes. For the first week or so, she would lay all her panties out in a stack by her bed and put her choice for the next day on top. She is dying to sleep in underwear and sometimes she does manage to keep her pull-up dry through the night. I've told her she has to do it for a consistent week and then we will go for it. In the meantime, we wear our panties on top of the pull-up. Of course!
