RAINY day kisses

Aren't they sweet?

 

 

 

Blue has really improved in the past couple weeks in his ability to control his hands and teeth with Wiley. He loved giving her kisses but would quickly turn to hitting or biting her. So we had started limiting his time with her. Which didn't really work. A friend of ours suggested not limiting his opportunity to have positive interactions but to remind him beforehand that hitting or biting were not okay and that he would get a timeout if he hurt Wiley. We haven't had a single incident since. He still has a bit of work to do at school... He gets so excited that he can't quite regulate himself in that busy environment. He never seems to do it out of meanness or even anger, which is nice I suppose.

What! Lolly saved all my momma's old clothes! 

 

 

Yay! They are so cute!!!

Ha. Anyway, it is true. My mom did indeed save a hefty portion of my old baby clothes. And some of her old clothes to boot. Quite a few of the pieces were even made by her Granny which would be Wiley's Great-Great Grandmother. And they are AMAZING! Vintage sixties and eighties fashion for babies. They just don't make clothes quite so nice these days. Well, I guess they probably do but Target certainly doesn't sell it. I'll have to be sure to carry on the tradition because it sure is fun to have this stuff.

At two months, Wiley sleeps through the night most of the time from about 10:30pm to 7:30am. The only trick is that means both kids wake up at the same time so mornings are pretty crazy for me. She loves rocking in her swing and spends most of her daytime naps in the thing. She also responds well to white noise in the background so our house often sounds like a day at the beach. She is perfectly sweet!

Someday we'll capture her sweet smiles and coos, but at the end of this photo session all she had left was her serious, studious face. My little mini-me!

We did not intend for this to become The Blue Show but the kid has a lot of energy and Aunt Ashley was doing a good job of keeping him focused from behind the lens. So this is what we got. Looking back through afterwards we could not stop laughing. The faces that boy makes!
