This was maybe the fourth outfit of the day. I lost track. It definitely wasn't the last. And certainly not the first round of lipstick. We found her first pair of heels on the sale rack at the Mexican Bargain Bazaar (which was amazing... can't believe I'd never been). I think they inspired the three or so outfit changes that came after this. Yesterday morning Graham woke up to discover that she had perfectly applied two temporary tattoos, one on each hand. I gave her another just behind her ear this morning. Which is why she agreed to the ponytail. Wanted to be able to see all her tattoos. Three going on thirty or what!

the MUSIC men
Brother loves music. Having an uncle who also loves music is the best.

brother is ONE
The fastest year ever, right?
He is just such a sweet kid. He has a very happy disposition. He loves dogs and cars and music. And he hates to be left out when it comes to food. He is curious. He loves toys. And he really loves dragging his toys along the floor as he crawls about. He will walk with encouragement (and assistance) but really prefers crawling. He is careful and deliberate. And very observant.
His two bottom teeth are full-in and one of the top ones just pushed through. Teething seems to bother him more than the older two. He has the cutest little nose scrunch when he laughs. Probably because his nose is just about the cutest thing ever. Blue is obsessed with him and seems to generate an endless stream of nicknames for him. He can say dog and car. And they sound pretty much exactly the same ;). He can also woof like a dog and vroom like a car. Which don't sound the same. He was saying mama/more but he stopped and doesn't say it very often. A couple of times he has done the sign for more but really prefers to whine. He learned "boo" and how to snap while we were in England. Have I mentioned how much fun he is? We love you so much, Bubba!
a SPECIAL trip
Brother and I made a jump across the pond to visit my sis and her husband Andy. BG got to come because he flies mostly free. Graham and the two expensive sidekicks took a road trip to Colorado to visit his sis. It was my first time in England and, no surprise, I loved it. I told Mal we should trade places. She should come live in Austin where you can wear tank tops and shorts for half the year and I'll go live in England where you can wear a jacket every day. Blue will probably want to come with me - he loves long sleeves and pants.
We had busy days out which was easier than keeping Brother productively occupied in their flat. The first half of the trip we hit up all the southern England hot spots - Bath, Winchester, Stourhead, the coast, the beach, and Stonehenge. The second half of the trip we walked, and walked, and walked around London.
BG had the time of his life as a single child alone with three adults. He learned so many new things from all the attention and was as sweet as can be. It was fun being a tourist with Mal for ten days and it was the first time I really got to hang with Andy for an extended period of time. I would do it again in an instant if not for the horrible flight experiences. Give it some time and I am sure I will have blocked those out. We miss our hosts already. Thanks for showing us your beautiful country!
