And eight months was a big one for Brother. He started crawling just before the month marker, putting him in the record books as the earliest Davis crawler by a month. Unlike the first two, he has proper form, crawling with both knees down. He is into everything and takes a special interest in the dog's food and water bowls. They have since migrated behind closed doors. He got promoted to a crib and with all the extra space started spinning and rolling in his sleep. Which means we ditched the Magic Merlin Sleepsuit that he had been using to sleep since he was three months (the swaddle has never been able to contain Brother). All the changes were positive for Bubba though. He started sleeping reliably through the night without the need for pacifier help and started to sleep in a bit in the morning, waking up with the older two in the 7s. He settled into a nap routine: wake up, play for two hours, sleep for two hours, play til 3ish, sleep til 5ish, bed around 8ish. Sometimes with a power nap thrown in the middle during an errand or while picking the kids up from school. And he started to eat! Like the milk was just an appetizer and he was ready for some meals thrown in there too. Double the food has meant double the work on the other end as well. And it is work. You have to grab a leg and hold on tight because he is not going to stay in place willingly. Still no teeth but he seems to be managing fine on the food end without them. He is determined, busy, compact, social, and tolerant. Fun that they are all so different!
