Blue loves words and gets easily bored while eating. So we spend a good chunk of the last part of dinner looking at the books just behind his chair at the table. They are adult reading books so there are no pictures to look at. Instead, we talk about the book titles. He will ask "what's this one called?" and I will either tell him or ask him back. He has now memorized about two shelves worth of books. It is just about the cutest thing ever to hear him say "The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet". It also warms my heart that he knows the entire Jane Austen repertoire.
