I wish Blue wasn't so interested in playing with the camera and would just let me film him doing his normal thing. He does pretty good when you stage a little conversation with him but won't continue with business as normal. Still fun to record all his little words for posterity though.11.09.2012
the DABIS family
I realized after posting Wiley's four month video that it had been six months since I had posted a video! Is that right? I have so many on my iPhone but the quality is so poor and some of them are so long I can't figure out how to get them off of my phone and onto the computer. So, I have made more of an effort the past couple weeks to use the official video camera.
happy FOUR months
Time sure is flying by! Wiley is already four months old. For a month or so we had some trouble with the bottle but we are back on track and she is getting strong and chubby. Here she is showing off her awesome tummy time skills...

a WOODLAND creature
We didn't have an official play mat for Blue. I thought they were big and too bright to look cool in my house. We had a nice small wooden set from IKEA that you set down over a blanket and he liked it pretty good. But I got a play mat for Wiley, mostly to avoid having the dog taking over the blanket. And she loves it. The little woodland creatures make noise when she hits them (soft noises though - likes chimes and rattles) and she gets her whole body in on the action. She will even reach out with her two little hands and try and use them both to grab at a toy. Blue was never that interested. We recently found the IKEA version and I think she will enjoy having them both. Have you ever seen such a sweet little face!
halloween round TWO
Happy Halloween! This was a perfect holiday for Blue. He loved his costume - "Blue is Plex!" - he loved walking and strolling around the neighborhood with his family and friends - he loved knocking on the doors and saying "trick or treat" - and he loved the candy!
My parents wanted to see the kids in their costumes so they stopped by for some post- trick or treating fun.

HALLOWEEN round one
So we played it a little different this year...
Last year Graham was a crocodile hunter and I was a crocodile. We upped the "smart" factor according to my sister and Andy (her British guy) and went as Dracula and his glamorous female prey. I found an awesome dress at a thrift store. Graham bought some teeth and a cape and we were good to go. Wiley was a little baby ghost. Her onesie said "BOO".
Blue stayed with Pops and Lolly and seemed to have a great time...

bag of BONES
elephants have TRUNKS
This kid loves his animal crackers. You can get him to do almost anything if you promise him a couple animal crackers at the end of it ;). Not my favorite parenting trick but I do use it occasionally to get him to eat his yogurt... We have to check every cracker before it is eaten and identify the animal. "Does this cow have a trunk?" Nope, bud, only elephants have trunks.
